Gus L. Roux, Jr. passed away on June 25, 2014 at his home in Pearland, Texas. He was born on August 23, 1931 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of Gustave & Angelina Roux. Gus was preceded into the arms of the Lord by Mary, his wife of 50 years, and brothers Kermit and Stanley Roux, and sisters Shirley Perez, Lorraine MacMahon, and Beverly Roux. He is survived by his sons Gus Roux III and wife Jami, Mark Roux and wife Natalie and his daughter, Denise White and husband Tommy. Grandchildren, Shelly Tiller and husband Matt, Jonathan White and Tiffany Butler. Great Grandchildren Alexandra Najacht, Aiden and Ava Tiller and numerous nieces and nephews. Gus was a graduate of the Jesuit High School of New Orleans and of Louisiana State University. He was a Professional Petroleum Engineer and, after retiring, Gus continued to perform consulting work in the oil and gas industry. He and his wife also owned and operated Shelley’s Hallmark Store in Woodlake Square, in Houston. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd, Pearland, Tx 77581 . In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Remembrance may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network www.pancan.org
