Obituary of Edward Lynn Schroeder

Edward “Ed” Lynn Schroeder, 56, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014. He is preceded in death by his father Edwood Schroeder and brother, Larry Dean Schroeder. Ed is survived by his mother, Mary Schroeder; his loving wife of 22 years, Katrina Schroeder; son, Jason Schroeder; daughter, Cielisse; stepson, Ronnie Tindall; stepdaughter, Shanelle Bullock; sister, Sandy Miller and husband, J.S.; uncle, Ben Schroeder; grandchildren, Hayden, Layne, Addison, Luke, Jude, Brandon, Alyssa and Nathan; and a host of other family and friends. Ed enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He looked forward every year to the rodeo at the Pasadena Fairgrounds where he assisted in setting up all their electrical needs. He was a huge country music fan and always watched the CMA Awards shows. Ed loved listening to and dancing to his favorite country music artists. He battled health issues throughout his life and managed to fight back through many obstacles. Ed was affectionately known as “Papa” to his grandchildren and he cherished spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation for Ed will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 2:00 until 5:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 10:00 am with Rev. Dr. Bob Joiner and Rev. Dr. Keith Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
