Obituary of Jennie Rayls Schreyer

Jennie Rayls Schreyer, 66, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Hilda Rayls; and brother, Gordon Dittmer. Jennie is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Schreyer; daughters, Megan Schreyer and Julie Lang; brothers, James, Marlin, Joe and Kennie Dittmer; one grandson; and a host of other family and friends. Jennie worked for over 26 years as an Executive Assistant for doctors at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She fought a courageous battle with cancer and maintained an active life without letting her illness slow her down. She enjoyed shopping, wine tastings and visiting vineyards. Jennie and Glenn always looked forward to traveling and went on several cruises over the years. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved them. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jennie’s honor to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in her name at www.mdanderson.org. A Memorial Service for Jennie will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.
