Eliot John Hitchcock, age 48 of Friendswood, passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2009. He is survived by his parents, John & Patricia Hitchcock; his loving wife of fifteen years, Ann; his beloved son, Brian; grandparent, Viola “Gigi” Miller; brothers, Glenn Hitchcock & his wife Amy & David Hitchcock & his wife Brandi; sister, Laurie Staley & her husband Mike; Uncles, Bud Jones & his wife Tommie Sue, Dave Hitchcock & his wife Helen, Mark Hitchcock; Aunts, Linda Stiffler, Donna Silverstein & husband Gary; nephews & nieces, Cody, Jacob & Adam Hitchcock, and Hannah & Emily Staley; and dear friends, Bill LeBlanc, Tad Rickard, Pete Thrasher, David Brueggeman, Brett McDonald, Donnie Smith, Dave Michalek, & Bryan Green. Eliot was born on October 28, 1960 in Houston, Texas and lived in this area his entire life. He was a devoted son, loving husband and committed employee. Eliot worked in the Electrical Sales Department at American Light. In his spare time, he loved coaching Brian in baseball and golfing. He was always busy with various projects and was proud to have a three-car garage as a good workspace. One of his special projects was rebuilding an old motorcycle. Eliot and Ann spent time together dining out or exercising at the track while they watched Brian playing with the Friendswood Colts. Family was always the most important thing to Eliot. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Eliot will be held on Friday, February 13, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Clayton Chapel. A Funeral Service is on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas. Pastor Keith Anderson of the New Harvest Christian Fellowship will be officiating.
