Truly, Gilbert Jasso never met a stranger! What are the chances that Po Po, born in Runge TX will one day become friends with a young man born in Southern Nigeria? But Gilbert and I became friends in a most unlikely place – his hospital room. I’d gone to visit him one day during my rounds of visitation as a CPE chaplain intern and as soon I shook his hands, I knew I found a friend in him. In the ensuing days, I was blessed with his smiles, enthusiasm and passion for life, and sincere love of people.
Rest now, in peace and happiness Gilbert, in the bossom of God in heaven. Amen!
