Our deepest sympathy we have all been family for so many years. I will miss those phone calls. Larry will surely miss the debates over whose rain gauge was right. Many special times spent with the Backhaus family. I know Aggie was waiting with open arms. Rest in Peace Jug and know that you and Aggie raised the finest boys I know..

My condolences to the Backhaus family. I have great memories of Coach Backhaus, starting when I was in third grade and was bat boy for the Pearland High School baseball team in 1956. He even called my house and asked me to come over to the "old" gym on Galveston Avenue on the day that group and individual photos were taken of the baseball team for the Gusher. Hughie Raney, Billy Rives, and I were water boys for the high school football team for several years when he was the Oilers' head coach. And later in high school, I took his mechanical drawing class for two years. He always seemed in good humor and had a memorable laugh. God bless his soul.
