I was so saddened to hear of Sybil's passing.
She and I were best friends when I was a junior in high school and she was a senior. I remember when she worked at the telephone company in Houston and got her first car, a Chevy Nova. Wow, did we have fun running around ! She will be greatly missed.

I just found out about Sybil's passing. My sincerest condolences to the family. I'm truly saddened by this news. My mom and I got to know Don and Sybil over the years from going to Brows' Aroun'. They were such fun to visit with. I have special memories of going there with mom...especially now since my mom passed in August of 2014. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. God bless!

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Sybil. We were friends since our school days and she was so sweet, always, all these years. My mom and I enjoyed going into the antique store and enjoyed seeing Don and Sybil. They were so kind, and their warmth made us want to go back just to see them. Praying for the family and close friends, Kathleen

Sybil was exactly as she is described in her obituary. More than this, she fought long and hard to overcome her health issues, but her loss of Don and missing him every day was heartbreaking. She didn't fear dying, she was having a hard time living as she would have liked. Bless the time she was given in this life. She became a friend for me many years ago and I prayed for her continuously as I knew it would help. My sympathy goes out to her family and friends and I will miss her as I have missed Don these past few months. God bless and I pray that memories of Sybil will help with her loss. It's the memories and good times that keep our loved ones close when they are no longer present.
Take good care, Ellen Carroll

I am so sorry for your loss. Sybil had such a kind heart, I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy some of the same interests with her. She was always up for a good laugh, although she had many struggles with her health. Wishing the family strength and patience for, and with each other. Loss is such a hard thing to come to terms with. Blessings to you all.

I moved to Pearland from Chicago with my wife and children June of 2014. I had the pleasure of meeting Sybil and Don Ellis in their lovely store. I fell in love with their store and became friends with them both. I feel very blessed to have met them and I will miss them very much. I will miss the conversations about the treasure hunts and our negotiating on items I sold them. As any picker knows the thrill is in the hunt, but they made it so much fun to bring stuff to them and talk about the items. I usually bought double the items than I sold. I pray Gods comfort for the family I know they miss Sybil and Don so much. I pray their legacy lives on in Pearland and all the lives they touched. I will never forget them they are a part of my life.

Sybil was a kind and caring person that was never without a smile. She spoke to you, even after barely knowing you, like you were family. She valued even the most casual friendship like family.
