Rose was just a wonderful mother, for me a great mother in law, and such a fun and loving grandmother to our children. She was very "selfless" spending a great deal of time with the grand kids while baby sitting, sewing clothes for them and generally always there when needed. She was spirited, spunky, and had the virtue of "family first" along with other values she passed on to all of us. She had a can do attitude about everything! When she had the time occasionally on Sunday, she made the most wonderful home made spagetti and meatballs I have every eaten. We all looked forward to those special Sunday dinners. I remember how proud she was when she accomplished her first Million dollar year in real estate sales. She some how always juggled her family duties with her work responsibilities. Family vacations for she and Charlie extended to include her grandchildren at their favorite spot --Camp Landa in New Braunfels. The kids always had such a great time!
A bright candle has gone out. We will always miss Rose's presence in our family. I know that God has a special place in his home for you.
My most since condolences to Barbara and Charlie.
With Love,
Dave

What a fireball and what a kick your Mom was. We always enjoyed Aunt Rose and Uncle Charlie's trips to visit George and Edith - whose home was right around the corner from where we now live.
We still remember her introducing us to Southwest Airlines, back when the "only" way to get here was via Las Vegas. We suspect she paid for their trips by playing the slot machines at the boarding gates.
We are glad she had such a long and happy life living near her daughter, Barbara, and family. But we are sad to say goodbye.
All the best to your family at this difficult time.

We send our sincere condolences to all the Campbell family members. I remember visiting Aunt Rose and Uncle Charlie at their home in Pasadena way back in the summer of '66 on our drive (move) to Los Altos, CA. (Boy was it hot & humid there!) On occasion after that we were blessed with a few visits in Los Altos from Rose & Charlie--and we enjoyed her 'all-day' spaghetti sauce recipe very much! We remember too how she loved her American Indian jewelry 'business.' I think my mother, Edith, acquired several stunning pieces. :-) RIP Aunt Rose....

Aunt Rose was truly part of the Greatest Generation. A treasured, favorite aunt, she was a core part of our family whether we were spending time together in Pasadena, Hawaii, or California. She was a great lady; we were honored to have known her and are diminished by her passing. Blessings and prayers to Barbara, Charles, their families, and her brother.
