Obituary of Claude Young

Claude Thomas Young, age 41 of Richmond, Texas, died tragically on November 27, 2009. He is preceded in death by his father, Claude Thomas Young II. He is survived by his mother, Linda James; wife, Erin (Hunt) Young; son, Graham Young; daughters, Morgan & Claudia Young; sister, Kathy Hastings & her husband Jeff; uncle, Bill James; mother-in-law, Elaine Stephens; sister-in-law, Jo Crenshaw & her husband Rich; brother-in-law, Eric Hunt & his wife Melissa; nieces & nephews, Ashton & Addi Hunt, Lawson & Liam Crenshaw, and Ethan Hastings; & a host of many other family & friends. Thomas was born on February 24, 1968 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He graduated from High School in Piedmont Oklahoma, earned a Bachelor Degree from Oklahoma Baptist University, & a Masters Degree from Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth Texas. Thomas came to know Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was 19 years old. Soon after, the Lord called him to preach the gospel. Thomas constantly studied God’s Word and was an amazing communicator of the Gospel. He was passionate and driven to take the good news of Jesus to the world. He and his wife Erin were married 17 years and together impacted thousands of people around the world for Jesus Christ. Whatever Thomas did, he did with unending energy. He loved Jesus, the Word, OU Sooners, his friends, great food, his wife, and his 3 kids. Morgan, Graham, and Claudia were the greatest joy in his life. Thomas was currently the founding and lead Pastor of The Sanctuary Fellowship in Sugar Land, Texas. A Funeral Service for Thomas will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Sugar Creek Baptist Church, 13333 Southwest Freeway, Sugarland, Texas 77478, 281-242-2858.
