Today would have been my friend and co-worker's 85th birthday. I miss not being able to send him greetings.

As an original parishioner of St. Helen's Church, with my mother having worked as church secretary, I remember Darvin as a hard working family man with integrity, and a giving individual who lended his time and resources to the church and community. Mom and Dad always spoke highly of the Bordelon family. Though I moved away from the Pearland area when I married forty years ago, Id like to send my prayers and sympathy. My family met Darvin at the hospital recently where he shared a room with my father in law. RIP Darvin, and God bless you all.

Want to extend my condolences to Darvin's family. Darvin took his vocation as Deacon very seriously. His sermons always left you with a good message, not by accident,by design. I was very fortunate to have worked with Darvin while I was Director of Religious Education and as his helper when he was Bazaar Chairman. His sense of humor made working with him a pleasure. He is now with his love,Carol, who is still missed. My condolences to his family and friends. ( Sorry, Harvey kept me away from the Funeral). Lynn Duggan Hundley

I will always remember the sermons of Deacon Bordelon. He had a way of addressing the complex ideas of the Gospel in a direct manner. He was a humble man in the truest sense. I particularly loved how he could express the most complicated ideas in a way we all could understand. At our parish I will always remember him as being present always and serving in so many capacities. At every important event you could depend upon seeing him there as always serving his community. He showed us what service was and what it meant to be a pillar of the community.
