Hello,
I was just going through things and came across this web site. I just want to say thank you so much for all you thoughts and prayers about Terri, my mother. She is dearly missed and will always be missed. I enjoy reading the stories and I enjoyed hearing about them as I was growing up. She was the best mom that anyone could ever have and to lose her has been very hard. I was the youngest of two daughters and I was the mommies girl!! Anyhow, thank you again to all of you for writing what you have.

To Phil and all the family,
My deepest sincere thoughts-prayers are not enough to express here frome time til present. In knowing her was a joy of life, her free-spirit, playing and working hard all the time. We were school-buddies most of our pre-teen and teen years back in McPherson, Kansas. She was so cute and pretty, very smart and just an all around good sport. Talented in all phases of school endeavors. We challenged each others and others to be the best, to do your best. I remember in Band she played persussions (I clarinets) and we batoned twirled as she wanted Majorette in the May Day parades. She lead cheerleading for her pre-teens years (as I was B-string) loved horseback riding as I got to ride too on her quarter-horses. We cantored in the country-fields. She was a little taller than me (as I fell off once grabbing the horse’s neck) we laughed so hard, till we cried! We’d go have a pizza (hold the extra cheese) at her parents Take-out food stand. Also rode in her parents Cadillac we’d turn-up the C&W music that she adored. We got her ready for her first prom date with Phil. In other words she was my Hero, a confidant, dear friend, wise for years. A true Angel with a gentle soul and great heart. Terri will always be near for evermore.
With fondest loving memories,
Lynda A. Smith

I was so sad to hear the news of Terri today. It was interesting that Terri’s grandma Sporn and my grandma Lundstrom were cousins. So we always laughed that we were related!
I remember the fun slumber parties with Terri and her parents running the hamburger shack! Terri will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to the famiy.

Phil,
Sorry to hear the news of Terri’s passing.
I was in 6th grade when we moved to McPherson, and Terri was one of the girls who was kindest to me, at an age when it wasn’t easy being nice to new kids. We cheered together in middle school, and I always thought of her as an old soul, deep, kind and thoughtful.
My sincerest condolences go to you and your children.

Dear Phil and family,
We just heard yesterday about Terri’s passing. I have sent out this obituary to our Class of 1969. I hadn’t heard from Terri in all these years, but was devastated to hear this news. Kay Busby ran into her aunt at the McPherson Pancake Feed and shared the news with her. I can’t imagine what all your family must have gone through and are still going through. Know that we hold you all close in thought and prayer. Larry still tells stories about the years you grew up with him down the street. Happy memories. I will always remember Terri. She was so sweet and I know she carried a tremendous burden losing her dad so early in life. May God bless you all and if you are ever in the McPherson area, please look us up. We’ll leave the light on for you.

Phil, Jessica, and Raimie,
My heart is aching for you today. My last conversation with Terri, was just about a year ago and it was all about getting my Mom a Christmas tree for her room. We received it within a few days and Mom was able to enjoy it last Christmas. This Christmas I told Mom about Terri as I was placing the tree in its place of honor. Please know that our thoughts a prayers are with you all. Love, Saundra, Gary, Shana (flower girl for your wedding), Jason and families. Love from Hazel and of course Darryl. Raimie, Darryl appreciated the phone calls from you.
