Daddy Jim, what an influence you have been in my life since I was just a little girl. The family vacations, the holiday dinners, the everyday life issues that the Otwells and the Counts have shared for so many years. You have touched so many lives in your gentle strong way. I will love and miss you every day. I know you, momma and daddy are watching over us. Thank you for counting me as one of yours.

Ann, words will be far short of expressing my condolences to you and your family. Your dad was obviously a great influence on so many folks over the years in La Porte, and I expect elsewhere. My dad and mom are back in La Porte and he is 87 this year - not looking forward to what you are experiencing, but you have all my thoughts and hope that you and your family overcome the sadness of your loss and relish his life and the time you had with your dad, grand dad, and great grand dad. Best wishes always, Tom

Such fond memories of Jim and Flo Ann being our Christian Endeavor sponsors at La Porte Community Church and the good times we had at camp and so much involvement with us "kids." But that was not all. I think of Jim setting a good example, being a faithful presence in church on Sundays and being so involved in the history of the church. When I think of the Counts family, it gives me a warm, loved feeling. Jim, you will be so missed and I pray for comfort and strength for the family to go on.
I love you.
