Maura touched so many lives at Bayshore Elementary and again at LPHS. Her upbeat personality and positive attitude rubbed off on us all. She was a wonderful friend, teacher and leader. She will truly be missed. Our thoughts are with her family.

I worked with Maura at LPHS as well as worshiping with her at St. John's Episcopal Church. She was such a fun person to be around and such a hard & dedicated worker both at school and at church. Maura, You were a great mentor to me as a young teacher, you taught me much about compassion and caring for the special students we taught in resource at Laporte High school. I will be forever greatful for your shining example.
Maura's room was across from mine at LPHS. We had so many good times as hall buddies! She was a special person who gave so much love to her students and to her friends. The dedication and devotion she brought to education will be missed.
