Obituary of Engelke Jr.

Lester Lee Engelke Jr, age 50, passed away at his home Saturday July 31, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Lester is preceded in death by his father Lester Lee Engelke Sr.; brother, Curtis Engelke; and daughter Shannon Nicole Engelke. He is survived by his mother Alice Drury Engelke. Lester is survived by his wife of 25 years Sharon Engelke; son, Guy Engelke & his wife Chelsea; stepson, Ronnie Moehler & his wife Rachael; brothers, Johnny Ray Engelke and Chuck Engelke; sister, Vickie Davidson & her husband John; Granddaughter Sadie Shannon Engelke; and a host of many other family and friends. Lester Lee Engelke Jr was born June 22, 1960 in Houston, Texas and resided in the Houston area his entire life. Lester and Sharon enjoyed 25 wonderful years together and built there home together in Manvel. He was employed with Freeman as a MIS Manager. Lester was a wonderful provider for his family and could build or repair just about anything he set his mind too. He loved to go fishing and enjoyed the outdoors. Lester knew the importance of family first and instilled in his sons these same values. Lester was a long time member of New Hope Church and lived a life of service to his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Lester will be on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and also from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral service with be on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11:00 am at New Hope Church 3640 CR 58 Manvel, Texas 77578 (281) 604-4000. Pastor Tim Liston will be officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
