As I sit here trying to write a tribute to my brother Tony, who went to be with the Lord on May 27th 2019 , I can't believe he is gone. Painful to know I will never see him again, difficult to accept that I can not share my thoughts with him anymore .
I miss Tony’s kindness towards me and my family, His ability to make me laugh, our daily phone call on my way to work and His Love for People and our community. As a brother We didn't always agree on things, but I know he always wanted the best for me.
Tony accomplished so much in his life. He helped many people. I am proud to say he was my brother.
Tony as a brother ,shared his love with me at all times. Each time I call him or sees him ,he calls me Paul Paul . As those words come to me it still brings smile to my face.
Tony was not only a big brother but a great friend and confidant .
Tony , you will always be with me , You are in my hearts, my thoughts, and my prayers. You always have been, and you always will be.
May the Holy Spirit comfort us and give us strength, may God illuminate your eternal soul, and may you “dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Blessed are the memories of Anthony Akuete, my dear friend, brother and colleague. As days rolled into weeks and months since his transition, I often sit back reminiscing of his characteristic laughter, humility and ever willingness to render help to others even if it is not convenient for him. Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord dear brother till we meet again at the feet of Christ our Lord and Savior.

My greatest regret was not spending time with you after the MVA due to my ignorance that once you got married I had to remove myself. You are the greatest friend, brother, uncle. After the birth of Jordan you took us everywhere and people called you his dad, you paid For his first passport, he will never have any uncle as great as you.
You stood by the truth no matter the consequences. You stood by me throughout my divorce when everyone else ran due to them been cowards. Because of you I have taken a new path in my life to emulate you in everything I do.
Thank you for been a great example For us all. I wish I had told you how grateful I am and how much I love you. May your soul continue to rest in peace your legacy lives on, I have and will continue to uphold your legacy.

To Tony, Your life was a blessing, and your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
For Me, What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word and one more compadre. We may never comprehend why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you pass on, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. You will always remain in our hearts. Stay blessed and in restful amity brother!
