I'm sorry to learn of Alicia's passing. She was a crossing guard when my older sister Sidra went to Horn a long time ago. She was a very kind and a caring person! I haven't seen her since I lived on Darsey street.

I will never forget the day I met Ms. Obando and her son, Carlos, who happens to be my dear friend. My parents and I were at a college get-to-know you gathering. Much like her son, Carlos, Alicia had a radiant smile and positive attitude. I was always anxious to say hello and imagine her beauty via phone, as I live in Kansas City. Her love is imprinted on those who knew her, and her spirit is eternal.

Ross and I and our three daughters will so miss your mom. We were so impressed by her tremendous work ethic and sparkly personality. She raised the three of you by herself and helped so many in Houston raise theirs. Every Saturday night she would bring a bundle of happiness into our home. You were blessed and we were blessed to have her in our lives. Love, the Davis Family

Such a wonderful lady. She often helped our family picking up our daughter from school or other after school activities. And her smile I will never forget. Thank you and God bless.
