Swan Irving Fereday, 84, went peacefully to be home with Jesus and all of his family and friends that passed before him on March 9, 2011. Born on December 22, 1926 in Anahuac, Texas, he is preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Catherine Fereday; and sister, Melba Wildman. Swan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patsy W. Fereday; daughters, Sue Ellen Kennard and her husband, Clay, Peggy Lynn Fereday, Cindy Carol Swint, and Kathryn Parker and her husband, Bill; sister, Barbara Pledger; grandchildren, Corey Ritnour, Patrick Ritnour, Clinton Ritnour, Shawn Swint, Christopher Swint, Kayla Swint, and Cameron Parker; as well as a host of many other family and friends. Swan was looked upon as “The Rock” of his family. His family was the most important thing in the world to him and he was always there to help everyone at anytime. Swan had many life long friends and he considered them family as well. He was a gifted chief mechanic for Belchase Air for many years. Swan could fix or repair just about anything he set his mind to. He was a great Husband, Father, Grandpa and Friend to everyone. In his spare time, Swan took great enjoyment in going on scenic drives with anyone that wanted to tag along. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
