I am holding Molly and Dr. Michael Young close to my heart. Their love for each other is an inspiration to all. “In sickness and in health” a most sacred vow, these two lovely friends did just that! With Love they walked in each other’s footsteps taking turns lifting each other up. When I met Michael during my bodybuilding years and during his heavy weight lifting days, we joked about him being my blue eyed Adonis. May he Rest in Peace! With love Xena Princess Warrior, DocJackie

Irma and I went to see Dr. Young when he 1st took over the chiropractic practice of Dr. Trethaway in the 90s. We started as patients, but over the last 20+ years we've grown to be friends/family. Michael and I would commiserate about hating the heat in Houston, discuss current events, and lament over "these kids today." We'll miss his adjustments, his personality, and his sense of humor every day. Rest in peace our dear friend.

I met Dr. Young 20+ years ago. I am a retired RN that worked in the OR and had many episodes of back pain. Sometimes walking was difficult. I remember a time that I wasn’t able to go into the office so Dr. Young came to my house. No doctor had ever done that for me. To me, this demonstrated his commitment to his profession.
When the pandemic hit, I was seeing Dr.Young regularly. Since we both were Christians, we would discuss the end of the world as we knew it. We also would discuss the Rapture and the Tribulation.
I have no doubt that Dr.Young was a believer and that he is resting in peace in heaven. I expect to see him there!

December holds my fondest memories. Getting together for Christmas with family, hearing laughter and the smell of wonderful food. As a child you would think my favorite part was the gifts. But it wasn’t, it was the events following gifts. I recall sitting, enthralled with watching David and Michael have a wrapping paper ball fight in the living room. Chaos ensued every time after gifts….it was THE best.
Michael, you will be missed. We love you and hope you are enjoying my Dad’s company. One day we will all be together again….

I met Mike at New Hope a few years back. I quickly recognized that he had a strong faith in Jesus that he was eager to share. Mike would give me names of biblical scholars who helped me to gain more understanding to God's word. That was such a blessing each week. Our friendship led to a text that he would send anytime I missed the 9:45 service to be sure everything was good. His caring attitude was greatly appreciated. I enjoyed our friendship and will miss him dearly.

Being Mike’s little sister was a bright spot in my childhood. Mike and Molly visits were the best days! I remember he never kept his shoes on, and at any given moment I was either being held upside down by my feet or being tickled until everyone in the room was laughing. I thought he was the strongest person in the world, and I loved asking him to lift random heavy things around the house. I was called Little Mike by our father until I was a teenager, and I loved it. I will miss his laugh, seeing his love for his fur babies, and him yelling at the tv at whatever football game happened to be on…

While I didn't know Michael particularly well I was impressed by his strength of character and disposition to be of service to others. I remember him taking on the task of maintaining the grounds of the bank branch in Pasadena where his father-in-law was the manager.I didn't realize until Molly recently informed me that he and Molly had a LONG (6 year) courtship. Amazing!!
It is with hearthelt sorrow that we bid Michael farewell at such a young age.

I first met Mike in 1984 at pre med classes at San Jacinto college and we immediately became friends. We continued in our education at Chiropractic College being in the same class. Each day was made enjoyable by Mike’s humor and outlook on life. After graduation, we continued our friendship as we made our way into our new profession. I had the opportunity to practice with him at the same office and Mike always made our days better. We talked a lot about God, football, and life. I noticed he always put God first in his life. Oftentimes I would enter our office and find Mike in prayer or reading scripture. We would have great discussions about God, scripture, and faith. It was such a blessing to have spent so much time with Mike, and to have him as a friend for life.
Thank you Mike for all you did for me! All the support and encouragement you gave me just by being my friend! I will miss you my friend!

The most vivid memory I have of Michael was as my babysitter! What made it EXTRA special was he always came with my favorite Molly! They babysat my sister and I for years as a couple, and he was always the life of the party! He made our time with him so much fun, and even today in my mid 40’s, I will always possess the fond and intangible memories he offered to my life. He was ALWAYS physically fit and attributed to setting the precedent for my own interest in health and fitness. I could only IMAGINE, and could not even fathom the love and light he brought to whomever crossed his beautiful soul.
What an honor it was to have had him cross mine! May it be understood Michael walked in a path of dignity, righteousness, and grace. I will continue to keep his loved ones left behind in my prayers, and pray for God’s continued comfort upon each and everyone.

Dr Young treated me at least weekly (and often several times a week) for around 15 years. He also treated all of my children at one point. He was so kind and genuinely cared about his patients well being. He always amazed me that he could tell where The source of my pain was by looking at my back. One time my 3 year old fell of the porch and was l limping a little. She couldn’t straighten her leg all the way. We happened to go to Dr Young’s office that day and he told her to hop on the table. He made an adjustment and she hopped right off and was instantly able to straighten her leg. He was so good at what he did. A true miracle worker!

I will never forget the days of Michael and Molly babysitting us as children at our home in Friendswood especially the time he busted some springs on our trampoline. He was a great Christian man and honored to have known him for so many years. He will truly be missed. Rest well, Michael.

My fondest memory of Michael was his sweet demeanor and shyness— a gentle giant. My children looked forward to my husband and me going out of town so Molly and Michael could stay and babysit. Such a good man and never to be forgotten. Time for you to rest, Michael.
Love,
Kay Brown

I have many memories of Mike, but my favorite is when one night I was teaching him to drive. We were on back roads , but all of a sudden a cop was behind us. Mike pulled over and the officer came up to the car. I handed him my drivers license and told him I was teaching my stepson how to drive. I was only 6 years older than Mike, so the police officer looked confused. Mike looked scared, but then the officer told us we could leave and be careful. Afterwards we had a good laugh about it. Also I loved going to Mike’s football games. He was a very talented football player. We had a lot of good times. Mike was always so funny, and I loved him very much. Eydie Young Groenke

Dr Young was a fine person. I enjoyed speaking with him at every visit. He really cared about you. I will truly miss him. He is someone who really was special to know and be with. He was more than a Dr to me. He was more like a friend. God bless him.
