To John’s Family, John and I were friends all through junior high and high school. We were always in the same room. He was always such a nice guy, a friend to anyone who needed it. I was so sorry to hear of his passing, even though we didn’t keep in touch after EFHS class of 1972. This is a great picture, and it is how I remember him. God bless you all and keep you in the palm of His hand.

I met John while working at ABM Industries in San Francisco in 2000 and thoroughly enjoyed talking with him over the years. When I heard of his death this afternoon, I immediately recalled this true Southern gentleman and committed family man. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Kind regards,
Susan

John and I shared a room during our training at the West Virginia State Police Academy. During that six months, we became good friends and shared many experiences. We remained friends during his tenure with the State Police but lost contact after he moved to Texas. I always considered John a great friend and I knew that should I ever need him, he would always be there, as I would have for him. I am very saddened by his passing and offer my deepest sympathy to his family. We have lost a true gentleman.

I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Mr. Moore approximately 13 years ago, starting a new position within the Chicago Branch Office. Mr. Moore took time aside of his busy schedule to sit down with me one on one to share his experience and growth within the company. Mr. Moore held the highest position within the security division at that time, and gave me a glimpse of what true leadership is all about. As years have passed and thousands of employees he’s must of come in contact with, at company functions he still remembered me by name and made an effort to chat as recent as late last year. Mr. Moore made every moment count and left an impression that will be never forgotten. To his family and friends, my sincere heartfelt condolences.

I met John in 7th Grade at East Park School and we remained friends throughout high school. High school was so different in the early 70’s. Everyone knew everyone and everyone was involved. John was one of those people who was involved in many things. I remember variety shows and student council meetings and elections. The class of ’72 has lost a good guy and will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Pappa Moore i loved you so much, and will always remember you as a wise, gentle, kind, loving and warm person. Your someone who allways looked for the good in people, and brought the best out of them. This shows that some things in life dont make sense. But one thing that does is that everyone who knows you loves you.
Love you,
Touch

I met John briefly during the ABM acquishion of Security Services of America. He was one of the most wonderful, professional, elegant and friendly people I’ve met in a long time. I am so sorry for your loss, and a big loss it is. The world just lost one of it’s shining stars. RIP John.
