Steven,
My heart breaks for your loss. I pray that with God’s help you find comfort.
Angie and I were roommates back in 1988-1989 (until I moved out of state). I met her through my sister and her boyfriend. She was looking for a place to move to and I was looking for a roommate.
We were total opposites and that made our being roomies work out great. She ate healthy, I didn’t, however she did make me try brussel sprouts and I loved them (and still do – I think about her everytime I eat them). I loved her sense of style and fashion. When I see knee high boots I still think of her too. I think she had like 3 pair when she lived with me.
I saw Angie at a free Chik-fil-A brown bag concert. We chatted and exchanged numbers. She bragged about her (in her words) “wonderful husband”. At that time she had not had her daughter. I see Angie in Bella’s pictures.
I wish we would have kept in touch since then. She was ALWAYS smiling and had such a sweet friendly nature.
I am SO greatful that she accepted my FB friend request before she passed. I have read every post on her wall as far back as October 2010.
God puts people in your lives for a season and I was blessed to have known Angela Buskirk Stevenson. I look forward to seeing her again some day.

Steve and Bella,
Angie was so dear to me and I will always love her. I can’t tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I pray that God will surround you with lots of love and hope. Angie is in a beautiful place and not suffering. Anytime we were together she expressed her love for both of you. Her family was her world. I feel so blessed to have known her and to have had her in my life. God Bless you and your beautiful family.

I knew Angie from school. I attended Royalwood Baptist Christian School with Angie and I loved her dearly as a friend. She, was a lot of fun and she was always looking for love and attention from me because I was older than her. I should have given her a lot more when I had the chance. I haven’t. Seen her in about 25 yrs, but I cry for her now as if it were just yesterday we were back in school playing around like teenage girls do.Angie used to barrow my makeup and spend the night over my house and we would listen to music in my room. I hear she was a great Mom, I’m not surprised one bit. I want Angies family to know that I will pray for you because you are suffering a great loss. I will always remember sweet Angie Buskirk.

Ed, Kathy, Steve and Bella,
We lift up our prayers to God our Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, for peace in your soul, and strength to meet the new day. We know that there may never be understanding in this life, and that you will miss Angie terribly, but God himself will be with you and enfold you and minister to you as only he can. Angie is free from pain and with Jesus and all those who have gone before. She knows peace and relief and the pure joy that is found only in our Lord. Thank you, God, that you gave Angie to those of us on earth for a little while and let her live on in Bella and in the memories of all her family and friends who have loved her greatly. Amen.

Steve and Bella,
I cannot tell you enough how much Angie ment to our family. She was the first person to befriend me at FBC and make our family feel so welcome there. Lexy felt as if Angie was her second mom and I consider her my dearest friend. I wish we could have known her longer, but I am grateful that we became so close before she left this earth. I know that we will meet again. Until then know that she is in no more pain. What she wants for the two of you is to live your life to the glory of God. We love you Steve and Bella and are always here for anything you need.

Our children are a message we send to a place we cannot follow – their future. Isabella, this is a sentiment that I usually share with new parents but I think it is appropriate for you now. As we secret God’s Word in our hearts, secret your mother’s love for you there also. Carry it with you where she couldn’t follow and take comfort from it.
In deepest empathy,

So many memories. My heart breaks that Angie is gone. She’s the second sister I have lost in this lifetime. The first time I learned that Christ alone makes it bearable and that worship is our connection to heaven. When we worship we are experiencing the very throne room of God. I will never forget the trips the four of us took before children came along, especially the time in the restaurant we were laughing so hard we literally had to leave. Angie was full of love, life and loyalty and heaven is even richer now that she is worshiping the SAvior she served with all of her heart while on earth. Bella, your mommy loved Jesus with all of her heart and she absolutely adored you. You are the light of her life. She would have wanted you to know that more than anything else. Soon we will all be together again. Until then, we do not grieve as those who have no hope. Our hope is Christ. Much love, Daniel and Misty Allmond

Dear Steve and Bella,
Angie was such a beautiful person as much on the inside as her outward beauty. She loved life and embraced everyday as a gift. We became friends in our twenty’s so the big events in our lives we have shared together; relationships, losses, weddings and children. However, I will never forget those days when we just had each other to lean on. I still refer to her as “my best friend Angie.” Up until her last days she continued to make me smile. I will miss her so much. Steve and Bella, if you ever need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to ask. I’m always here for you and I will continue to lift you up in prayer. God’s peace be with you. Love, E

Angie: I was blessed to call you friend!
God looked around His garden And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered “Peace be thine”.
It broke our hearts to lose you,but you d idn’t go alone, for part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

Dearest Stevenson family,
Jay and I are truly sorry for your loss. Angie was one of the first people to embrace me when I was a new member. She and I shared a passion for singing and she was always willing to help in the music ministry whenever or wherever she was needed. Angie never missed an opportunity to check up on me when I became ill a few years ago, even after we had moved on to another church, she always asked about my well being and I her. We will miss her terribly. God’s peace be with you during this time.
Love, Jessica and Jay Tinsley
