Loretta–your father’s race in this earthy school is over, and his new one in the company of “so great a cloud of witnesses” begins. I know that he will be cheering you and the entire Body of Christ on as we all finish our various races. Love in Christ, Amanda

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.”
~ II Timothy 4: 7,8
We love you, Daddy. You did good.

Wallace/pops was truly loved by many. I had the privilege of being his wife, Edith’s home health nurse as well as his. Having the privilege of visiting them numerous hours each week, I came to know and love Wallace and Edith very much. During our visits they both would speak of each other’s lives together over the many years they had with each other and often spoke of their children and how proud they were of each of them. They truly loved living next door to Loretta and Gerhard and spoke often of their love for music. I will never forget Pops and Edith singing for me during each visit, and playing numrous tapes of memories long past, but not forgotten. Pops would often speak of his church family, especially the choir, and Edith always had a story to tell of her many opera years with Wallace always at her side. The Word of God, and their love of music was always present in their home. I know that Our Lord has welcomed a very precious man into his choirs in heaven. Pops, you will never be forgotten, you were truly loved by many, including myself.
