Wallace L. Longoria, 84, passed away on November 16, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Josefa Longoria; and his first wife, Rose Longoria. Wallace is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Edith Webb Longoria; sons, Wallace Robert Longoria and his wife Janie; Paul G. Longoria and his wife Gloria; daughters, Rose Anne Morris and her husband George; Loretta Longoria-Russo and her husband Gerhard; Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of many other family and friends. Wallace was a successful salesman his entire life. He worked for many years for A.I. Schepp’s Grocery Company as well as Sleep City here in Pearland prior to his retirement. Wallace was a gifted musician and served as the former music director for Garden Road Baptist Church and also Brookside Baptist Church. He was a man of strong faith and was a current member of Providential Baptist Church. Wallace was a proud American who served his country during World War II in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division. Wallace will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The visitation for Wallace will be on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 1 to 3 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will also be held at Clayton Funeral Home on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 1 pm with Rev. Stephen Daily of Providential Baptist Church officiating. A private interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gideons International or The University of Mary Harden-Baylor.
