Obituary of Veronica Carolyn Batson

Veronica Carolyn Batson, 69, passed away on February 22, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Doris Aultman. Veronica is survived by her sons, Robert Batson and fiancée, Andrea, David Batson and wife Gennie, Michael Batson and wife Donna; sister, Connie Walker; mother-in-law, Mary Batson (aka Granny); grandchildren, Calista, Colton and Mikey Batson; as well as a host of other family and friends. Veronica had over a 46 year career in nursing with Memorial Hermann Hospitals. She served in many capacities including operating room nurse, Operating Room Manager, Materials Manager, and Clinical Contract Administrator in her later years. Veronica loved to travel throughout her life and especially enjoyed the family vacations. She was a two-time cancer survivor and graciously supported many local charities. Grandma, as she was affectionately known to her grandkids, loved shopping for them and cherished every opportunity she had to spend time with them. Veronica will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Veronica will be held on Sunday afternoon, February 26, 2012 from 2:00 until 5:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. The funeral service will be on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
