Though I knew Jaun a relatively short time, I felt quite close to him as a friend. He always treated everyone with respect and in turn he was respected as well. Jauna, may God continue to be with you and keep you. You and your wonderful family will be in our thoughts.

We were so sorry to hear of Mr. Vega’s passing. He was a very inspirational man and a great musician. Having him at St. Helen’s connected our parish with the authentic Southwestern Hispanic musical tradition, and we as a parish greatly benefited from his artistry. I was fortunate enough to sing for Santa Helena under his leadership, and I always marveled at his exact understanding of the sound he wanted us to produce. He had a great work ethic as a director and was skilled at leading us to worship with all our hearts. He will be greatly missed by us all and forever remembered by those who were fortunate to have the honor to make music and praise under his direction.
With deepest sympathy,
John and Renee McManus and family
