We were so saddened but not surprised to hear of Edwin’s death. What a special, loving human being and we were so fortunate to know him, and a few of us to grow up with him. Although we have lived away from Pearland for over 50 years, he was always loving and caring whenever we were there. It was said that Edwin “would give you the shirt off of his back.” I know he felt all of your love right up to the minute of his death, even when he could no longer verbalize it.
Since we are still in Washington, wrapping up our stay we will have to miss the visitation and funeral service. The funeral service sounds very special and one that Edwin would love.
We leave Saturday to come back to Texas and hope to get down to see you all soon after that. Meantime, give each other a big hug from us and know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
